	*April 6, 2009* *Winter coming to an end...* At long last, it seems that winter might finally be over, the snow is slowly melting away leaving puddles that start the day with a thin film of ice but quickly return to a liquid state as the sun rises higher in the sky. Everyday as I drive by the old race track on my way to work, I sneak a quick glance over the fence at some of our trailers that are slowly being freed from the clutches of the hardened snow drifts that have surrounded them for the last 5 months. Everyday I've heard the conversations about carbs, engines, tires and set ups. Everyday, I watch and listen to everyone getting cars prepped. Everyday I've seen the excitement mount in some of our fellow racers and their families. Everyday we do a little more to get ready for the season.. yet I know, that at 1 am on Saturday, May 16th, we'll still be trying to get our poop in group for that 8 am departure of that first well known trip, toolbox, equipment, gear & cars on board, to our first race.
